What happens if my fall alert triggered by accident?

Managing Accidental Fall Detection Alerts

Fall detection on your LifelineConnect SmartWatch is designed to be sensitive so it can respond quickly when help may be needed. Because of this, it may occasionally be triggered by accident. If that happens, you can cancel the alert easily.

If the alert has just started:

1. Look at your LifelineConnect SmartWatch screen.
2. Tap I’m Okay or Cancel.
3. Do this within the countdown shown on the screen.

If you cancel the alert in time, no one will be contacted.

If help has already been contacted:

Do not worry. When your Care Circle or support team reaches out, simply let them know that you are safe and that the alert was triggered by accident.

If accidental alerts happen often:

- Make sure your LifelineConnect SmartWatch is worn snugly on your wrist.
- If available in the app, review any fall detection settings.
- If you need help right away and are able to respond, always use the SOS button.

There is no need to feel embarrassed about an accidental alert. The feature is there to help protect you. If false alerts happen often, contact our support team for help.
