How do I set up fall detection?

How to Enable Fall Detection on Your LifelineConnect SmartWatch

Fall detection is an important safety feature on your LifelineConnect SmartWatch. If your watch detects a hard fall and you do not respond, it can send an alert for help.

To turn on fall detection:

1. Open the LifelineConnect app on your smartphone and log in.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Select Safety and Alerts.
4. Turn on Fall Detection.
5. Check that your emergency contacts and Care Circle details are up to date.

How fall detection works:

If your LifelineConnect SmartWatch detects a hard fall followed by a short period of no movement, it will sound an alert and show a countdown on the screen.

If you are safe, you can cancel the alert on your LifelineConnect SmartWatch during the countdown so no one is contacted unnecessarily.

If you do not cancel the alert in time, a notification may be sent to your Care Circle and support response contacts.

Important information:

- Wear your LifelineConnect SmartWatch snugly on your wrist.
- Keep your LifelineConnect SmartWatch charged.
- Fall detection is a helpful safety feature, but it may not detect every fall.
- In a serious emergency, always use your SOS button or call your local emergency number if you are able to do so.
