What should I do in a medical emergency?

In a medical emergency, the most important thing is to get help quickly. Here's what to do.

If it's a life-threatening emergency (such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, or a serious fall):

  1. Call [999 / your local emergency number] straight away, or press and hold your SOS button to send for help.
  2. Stay as calm and still as you can.
  3. If you can, unlock your door, [or use the app to let responders in].

How Lifeline Connect helps:

  • The SOS button connects you to help at the press of a button.
  • Fall detection can send for help automatically if you've had a fall.
  • Your Care Circle can be alerted so loved ones know.

Please remember: Lifeline Connect is here to help you get assistance, but it doesn't replace the emergency services or medical advice. In a serious emergency, always contact [999 / emergency services] directly if you're able to.

If you're feeling unwell but it isn't an emergency, contact your doctor [or NHS 111 / local health line].
